DAVIS & ASSOCIATES, P.A. Managing Shareholder KEITH W. DAVIS, ESQ. Elected President of the Florida Municipal Attorneys Association and Appointed to Serve on Florida League of Cities Legislative Policy Committee for Municipal Operations

TALLAHASSEE, FL – The Florida League of Cities, the united voice for Florida’s municipal governments, announced that Davis & Associates, P.A. Managing Shareholder Keith W. Davis, Esq. was recently elected President of the Florida Municipal Attorneys Association (FMAA) for the 2024-2025 year.  The FMAA   provides a permanent forum for over 800 attorneys who specialize in the legal representation of Florida municipal governments to identify and address legal problems of common concern among Florida’s municipalities, and to study, summarize, and disseminate legislation, court decisions and administrative rulings affecting municipal operations.  The FMAA serves as a conduit of information to local government attorneys in Florida and provides continuing legal education for its members. The Association publishes a quarterly newsletter (Florida Municipal Law Reporter), which includes case law summaries and holds an annual educational seminar each July.  As President, Mr. Davis will make several FMAA Executive Board appointments, and will oversee FMAA operations and chair the July 2025 seminar.

The Florida League of Cities also announced that Mr. Davis has been appointed to serve on the Florida League of Cities 2024-2025 Municipal Operations Committee, one of the League’s five Legislative Policy Committees.  Legislative Policy Committee chairs, vice chairs and members were appointed by Florida League of Cities President Michael C. Blake, Mayor of Cocoa.  As a Legislative Policy Committee member, Mr. Davis will help develop the League’s Legislative Platform, which details priority issues that are most likely to affect daily municipal governance and local decision-making during the upcoming legislative session, as well as help League staff understand the real-world implications of proposed legislation. Committee members are also asked to serve as advocates for local decision-making throughout the legislative process.
